Trainees Make The Grade

Continuous development is key to our staff being able to build rewarding careers. It also ensures that we meet the changing requirements and standards that our industry demands.

The first step on the training ladder is The Care Certificate which takes approximately eight weeks to complete. We are delighted to announce that eight staff members have recently achieved this award.

Jointly developed by Skills for Care, Health Education England and Skills for Health, The Care Certificate covers 15 minimum standards for those working in the health and social care sector. Topics include:  fluids and nutrition, safeguarding, basic life support, duty of care, privacy and dignity, communication, and awareness of mental health, dementia and learning disabilities.

Our successful staff members are pictured here receiving their certificates from Centre Director, Steve Winter and Training Manager Ashley Hegenbarth. We congratulate them and hope they move forward to enjoy fruitful and fulfilling careers with The Chiswick Nursing Centre.
