Time for Some Colour

Colouring books are generally associated with childhood. Who didn’t enjoy a set of crayons or coloured pencils that could be applied to fill up an outline picture to create a finished artwork?

Forget that colouring is just for kids. It is enjoying a renaissance amongst adults and is so popular in the USA that they have even created a National Colouring Book Day.

Adult colouring books are starting to be big business in the UK and most book shops now stock a wide selection, often linked to favourite stories.

The practical benefits are wide-ranging. Colouring is a great way to reduce stress, improve concentration and aid dexterity. Most of all it is fun! It is one of the reasons why we run colouring book sessions here at the Chiswick. Our residents love them.
