Faced with the ongoing Covid situation the residents at the Chiswick Nursing Centre had to postpone their annual garden fête this year. However, everyone had a marvellous Summer-themed event where they shared good company, and sunshine focused music in small groups to minimise the risk.
Residents, staff and relatives enjoyed a Summer banquet, which was topped off with jugs of Pimms, and a special Pimms flavoured strawberry gateaux, created by Head Chef, John Wealleans.
Everyone enjoyed themselves immensely and although each event was smaller in numbers, there was still room for dancing, laughter and plenty of good food to eat.
Our activities team continue to organise small scale events that provide good opportunities for socialisation at a time when care still has to be taken. The important thing is to ensure that social isolation is minimised and that everyone has a chance to live, laugh, and enjoy!
