Maintenance Operative

Rate of Pay: £11.10 per hour

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance operative, joining a busy team within a nursing home environment.

Working 40 hours per week over weekdays and weekends between the hours of 8am and 6pm.

Based in Chiswick (W6) parking is available on site.

We pride ourselves on providing a warm and homely environment for our elderly residents, and our Facilities and Maintenance Team is key to achieving this. This is a role that is central to the daily lives of our residents and their families.

As part of the Facilities Team, your role will include a variety of tasks to help maintain the overall building and the equipment used to provide care for our residents.

We would be especially interested to receive applications from anyone skilled in a trade (e.g. Painting and Decorating / Carpentry / Plastering etc)

You will have the opportunity to develop your skills further with training and development courses that are designed to ensure that you feel confident in all aspects of your role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking basic maintenance tasks on the building environment and with equipment used to provide care.
  • Repairing equipment which has failed or is broken.
  • Occasional painting and decorating tasks.
  • Undertaking and recording maintenance checks and tests on various items of equipment.
  • In agreement with your Line Manager – calling out skilled specialist engineers / repairs operatives as and when required.
