Inspiring activities to support yourself this summer

Doing something to look after ourselves need not be onerous or time consuming – it can be as simple as taking a walk, having a relaxing bubble bath, reading a good book. By performing one thing that focuses on ‘me’, we can relax, de-stress and improve our health.

At the Chiswick, we offer various opportunities for our residents to focus on their self-care through our regular, tailored activities programmes. These cover everything from gentle exercise classes, arts and crafts sessions, board games, bridge, quizzes, concerts, Reiki therapy and massage, outings to the park or local coffee shops – the list goes on.

We have our Snoozelum/therapy room which can be used for calming meditation, garden areas, sitting rooms and quiet areas where people can relax, enjoy a cup of coffee and a piece of cake, read a newspaper, doze or watch the world go by.

And, of course, we all feel better when we are looking our best, so a trip to the in-house hairdressing salon works a treat – especially when a manicure is included.
