Having a Jolly Christmas Time

We have already made much of the Christmas food on offer here but how will residents and staff spend the time in between meals?

First of all, everyone will dress up in their Christmas best. The morning is devoted to visits from family and friends, exchanging gifts, opening presents and Santa will visit in his sleigh with even more parcels. Staff will ensure that any resident who doesn’t have a visitor receives some extra special attention and will share the present opening with them.

After the excellent Christmas meal, complete with paper hats and crackers, many look forward to settling down with a glass of something and some chocolates whilst they watch or listen to The King’s speech. Others will prefer to spend some quieter time with their relatives and/or friends.

As the afternoon and evening wear on, a goodly number will watch the Christmas films, just like the rest of us!
