All of your Care and nursing costs are included. The weekly fee also includes all of your meals, drinks, snacks (including some alcoholic drinks – if required.) Physiotherapy sessions are included in line with levels which are agreed prior to your admission. Additional physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy sessions can always be added at an additional cost.
If you require incontinence aids – these are included in your fees.
Your participation in any of our activities sessions is also included – unless there is a specified admission charge to external events or unless you require an escort to help you to attend such events.
Your laundry and room cleaning costs are also included.
We want everyone to regard their stay at Chiswick as a “home from home”. Although all rooms are furnished, there is space for a favorite piece of furniture and you are welcome to bring items like books, pictures, ornaments and other treasured possessions. All rooms have a TV and direct dial telephone included.
We normally encourage visitors to come and go as freely as they want. At the present time – we are required to abide by guidelines issued by the Local Public Health team, that help us to manage risk of COVID transmission. Our visitor policy is published on our website.
We appreciate that choosing a nursing/care Centre can be a very difficult and emotional decision for you. The only way to really see the level of care and comfort offered at The Chiswick Nursing Centre is to meet the staff and some of the residents. That’s why we encourage you to call us on 020 8222 7800 to arrange an informal visit. At the present time we are unable to manage escorted tours of the Centre. However, you can come and meet one of our Senior Team who will be pleased to answer all of your questions. We also have video tours of our nursing Suites and Bedrooms on our website.
Our chef-led restaurant meals (or room service delivery) will support you with a nutritional, well-balanced diet – whether it be vegetarian, pescatarian, halal or vegan. We can also meet almost all other dietary requirements, the catering team here at The Chiswick Nursing Centre are extremely flexible and will work to ensure that you enjoy your meals with us.
We offer a wide range of culinary choices and clients can either dine in any of our five dining rooms or take meals in the privacy of their own rooms. Our meals are nutritious and freshly prepared on site. Our catering manager is available to meet with you to agree what menu choices you would like to have. We offer an extensive hotel-style meal service which includes:
- Breakfast service: Full English or continental buffet and tray service to your bedroom as desired.
- Chef-led, three-course lunch menu
- Chef-led, two-course supper menu
- Drinks and snacks are always available throughout the day (and night). We also provide alcoholic beverages with meals and a drinks trolly attends each floor during the evening.
All of our rooms have purpose built en-suite bathrooms and are fully furnished. Free WIFI, direct dial telephone and TV come as standard. We also provide all bed linen and towels. Toiletries can be provided on request with a recharge to your account with us or you can arrange this for yourself.
Yes! We have 5 suites that each have their own lounge and dining room where residents can socialise and make friends. We also have smaller lobby areas where you can sit and watch the world go by, read a newspaper and enjoy coffee and a cake.
Yes, we offer a wide range of both internal and external activities (as the weather permits). Our activity team helps clients to maximise their potential and, if they desire, to build relationships with friends both old and new. At The Chiswick Nursing Centre we not only look after your health, we also want your stay with us to be as enjoyable as possible.
Yes! We have our own Physio gym fitted with specialist equipment for those with restrictive movement or disabilities. Our in-house physiotherapists, nurses, occupational therapist and team of health professionals will aid your speedy recovery, rehabilitation, or ongoing longer term healthcare.
Yes! Something as simple as having one’s hair cared for and looking our best can dramatically affect how we feel about ourselves. It’s for this reason that we have experienced visiting hairdressers who work in our own on-site hairdressing salon.
Funding FAQs
Yes, we do accept residents funded by a Local Authority or the NHS. Please call our care enquiries team on 020 8222 7800 to discuss funding arrangements.
