The sun was shining on the residents of The Chiswick Nursing Centre for a day of summer fun in the grounds of the home.
The residents, along with visiting relatives, were treated to music, singing and delicious food for the Strawberry Tea and Garden Party on 17 July.
Catering Manager, John and his team made a delicious Victoria Sponge and residents also tucked into strawberries and cream and enjoyed a seasonal glass of Pimms.
Jill Keating, a local and renowned jazz singer, a favourite with residents, sang in the garden and her beautiful music brought a smile to many of the watching faces. Among her repertoire were ‘Blue Moon’ and new to her song list was an Elvis number, ‘I can’t help falling in love’, which brought the house down.
The residents, visitors and staff were also in fine voice for a fantastic sing song led by one of the Centre’s activity coordinators.
Steve Winter, Centre Director at The Chiswick said: “It was great to see so many residents enjoy an afternoon of fresh air and fun.”
