Resident with reptile at activity

Darwin Returns

We were delighted to welcome back Darwin’s Kingdom, who always create a stir with the amazing array of exotic reptiles they bring with them.

Residents are fascinated, although sometimes a little hesitant, to see snakes, tree frogs and geckos up close but soon overcome their fears. Allowed to touch and handle the animals, their initial concerns quickly evaporate as they discover there is nothing cold or slimy about these creatures. They become enraptured and keen to learn more about the animals.

As activities’ co-ordinator, Chris said: “They loved the reptiles; the facial expressions of the residents showed how much they enjoy the sessions. They embraced the moment, handled them with care and delicately even though the reptiles were new to them.”
