Dance Delights

Our regular dance classes remain popular with our residents who love to tap, sway and step it out to a range of music that covers virtually everything from swing to disco.

The sessions are provided by ‘Moving Waves’ who specialise in creative activities and workshops for community groups, including care homes. Events are specially planned and tailored to meet our residents’ needs and abilities.

Our latest workshop was led by Tina who took the group through a series of movements and steps. Some were able to get to their feet and perform alongside Tina with great aplomb. Others, who are less mobile, were also able to express themselves in time with the music, tapping toes, doing leg raises, bending, twisting, raising arms and clapping hands. Even members of staff joined in.

Seated dance is a great way to get the blood flowing, exercise muscles, increase mobility, release endorphins, prompt smiles and laughter, and so much more. Thus, a good time was had by all and we look forward to our next class.
