Communion Service Lifts the Spirits

Many of our residents look forward to the monthly Communion Service which we host here and it really lifts their spirits.

We have close links with our local church, St Peter’s, Hammersmith, and its vicar, Reverend Dr Charles Clapham (known as Rev. Charles) is always a welcome visitor, who never fails to bring a smile or two – even laughter.

Rev. Charles has led a fascinating and multi-faceted life, growing up in Scotland and South Africa. He studied architecture, history, economics and theology and lists some of his passions as philosophy, music and decent coffee.

This month’s service took place on our Balmoral Suite. “Rev Charles always offers an insight into his personal life which is very comical and which the residents enjoy,” says Arti, our activities co-ordinator. “And there is a lot of hymn singing, of course!”
