Celebration Fit for a King

The bunting was out, flags were waved and there was musical entertainment too as the Chiswick had its own special celebration to mark the Coronation of King Charles III.

A glass of fizz was enjoyed by all and included a toast to the new King and his Queen. No party is truly a party without some music and a professional singer, Heidi McCaffrey was on hand to take residents on a journey through several musical genres including soul, jazz, latin and a few hits from the ‘60s.

Residents and their families had also been able to watch and enjoy the pomp and ceremony of the national Coronation celebrations on TV.

Many will also have cast their minds back to that day in June 1953 when the late Queen began her long and admirable reign. Now it is the turn of her son. We all send our very best wishes to Their Majesties King Charles and Queen Camilla.
