Action-packed Christmas Season

The Chiswick has a veritable advent calendar of activities in December, packed with festive things to do from the 1st of the month, right through to Christmas Day and on to New Year’s Eve. We’ll all need to put our feet up and take it easy by the time 2020 comes around.

VOICES OF ANGELS

To help get the festive music underway, there will be a visit from a group of pupils from nearby Wendell Park Primary School. Music plays a key role in the life of the school with all of the children offered the chance to learn and develop musical skills, whether it be singing or playing an instrument. We look forward to hearing some angelic voices and favourite Yuletide songs.

LET’S GET READY

The build-up to Christmas is half the fun. Who doesn’t like cards, decorations and present wrapping? We’ll be doing our bit at various arts and crafts sessions where residents will stamp their own personalities on decorations that we’ll hang around our building plus presents and cards for their loved ones.

PARTY, PARTY, PARTY

A party is not just for Christmas. At CNC, we look for every opportunity to celebrate and December is the best month of all. We kick off with a St Andrew’s Day celebration, followed by a Christmas tea on 5th December, before moving on to a Mistletoe and Wine Tour, exclusive Christmas parties for some of our separate suites as well as a big Tea Day on Sunday 15 December. All this leads up to a big Christmas Eve celebration with presents and a good, old-fashioned sing-along with the popular ‘Cockney Sparrer’, Tommy Parsons, who will be making a return visit.

STAGE PRODUCTION

Of course, Christmas wouldn’t be the same without a traditional pantomime so this year the Carousel Theatre Group are visiting The Chiswick with their enchanting production of Dick Whittington with music jokes and plenty of favourite songs to sing along to. We can’t wait.
