A visit to the local

It is not unknown for some of our residents, accompanied by staff members, to visit their local pub for a bit of socialising. The Raven on Goldhawk Road is our choice of hostelry; a traditional, friendly place, well-known for its Guinness, good food and live music. The staff always give us a warm welcome, but it is Alfie, the pub cat who really rules the roost – “he’s the boss’, says one of our regular visitors.

Whilst drinks and a spot of telly are nearly always on the agenda, the group decided to sample some of the pub fayre for the first time, opting for the lunchtime pizzas.  Several chose the spicy Diavolo whilst the rest went with the sausage and mozzarella Salsiccia. Everyone gave them the thumbs up.

No doubt, the venture will be repeated in the very near future.
